Business Development Officer

Our client, a leading player in the Waste Management Industry, is seeking a dedicated Sales Development Officer to drive business growth by securing contracts, managing sales initiatives, and ensuring operations align with environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to promote environmental services.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to identify and secure new business opportunities.
  • Ensure all operations comply with environmental regulations and industry best practices.
  • Utilize social media marketing and negotiation skills to enhance sales performance.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Diploma in Environmental Science, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years in the Waste Management Industry (mandatory).
    • For Form 4 leavers, over 10 years of experience in garbage collection or general waste management is required.
  • Proven expertise in business development, sales, and marketing within environmental services.
  • Strong social media marketing and negotiation skills.

Compensation:

  • Retainer: KSh 25,000 – 30,000.
  • Commission: 35% of the net profit from the first invoice for all sales attributed to your efforts.
  • Performance-Based Increment: Retainer increases after every three signed contracts, with an average increment of 5% of the business value generated from your work.
